So today was much better than yesterday, I started to feel a little more comfortable. First of all, I got a full night of sleep. I slept like a rock and I think I'm over the jet lag. Although it's weird to think about the time difference, it reminds me of how far away I am.
Anyway, after a short orientation meeting, I went to the outdoor market and got a few things and then to the supermarket to get some food to hold me. I am still a little overwhelmed about cooking and stuff, but I am feeling much better. The outdoor market is really cool. It takes up like 3 blocks and has everything, plus it seems pretty cheap and there's great produce, and bread, and oh yes- italian coldcuts.
After I got a bit of food, I went with a friend and one of my roommates to explore a little. We went over to the vatican, and then went into this museum in a cool fortress-castle building. at the top was a great view of the city.
Unfortunately, I can't get my camera to work or I would have great pictures to post. I think I might have to buy a new memory card or something?
Tomorrow I'm going on a walking tour and hopefully getting a better selection of food, we shall see!

hi nicky
i'll have you know that this is my first blog experience (unless perez hilton counts) and so I am not sure if i am commenting right. what a great idea to do a blog! did you like the vatican - prepare to explore it in detail with paul. :) i hope everything is going well, we are all thinking of you!
by the way - this is your sister... i guess you could figure that out. i didn't mean for that to be my username but i think i am stuck with it.
yeah- I would've taken pictures for Paul but i think he screwed up the camera! :)
By screwing up the camera, do you mean when he needed the tweezers to pull out the wrong sized- memory card? :) Too bad! Just go ahead and spoli yourself and look into buying a new one! Would love to see a picture of the humorous T Shirt tht kept your friend out of the Vatican! What? No sense of humor at the Vatican!
P.S. Does the camera have a USB cable with it? That's how ours downloads the pics onto the computer.
